Issue and pull request triage
  1. 01An issue or pull request opens
  2. 02Compare it with open work
  3. 03Flag duplicates and apply labels

Sound familiar?

The backlog grows faster than you can sort it.

A familiar report arrives with a different title. A new pull request overlaps work already underway. Catch the overlap while the work is still new.

How it works

From the first signal to the next action.

  1. 01

    Enable triage

Turn on the Repo Manager plugin for the repositories where you want automated triage.

  2. 02

    Find the overlap

New and reopened issues and pull requests are compared with other open items in the repository.

  3. 03

    Keep labels consistent

Suggested labels are checked against your repository’s existing label set before they are applied.

Built around your work

Keep the result beside the report.

Potential duplicates get a comment on the issue or pull request. Subsequent runs update the same comment, keeping the discussion readable.

Read the issue triage documentation

Before you get started.

Is triage enabled automatically?

No. The plugin is disabled by default. You can enable it globally or configure it for individual repositories.

Does it invent new labels?

No. It selects from the labels already available in your repository and validates suggestions before applying them.
